NEXUS is a South Sound Building Envelope Consulting firm that works with Architects, Contractors, and Owners to provide durable, energy efficient building envelope solutions. We are a small office of Architects and Building Envelope Specialists who challenge ourselves to grow in our skills and value a work/life balance. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our Building Envelope Consulting team.

 

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed architectural drawings that align with project specifications and client requirements. This role requires proficiency in REVIT and a strong understanding of architectural principles. The Architectural Drafter will collaborate closely with Building Envelope Designers, Specialists, and Project Managers in documenting technical details and design drawings.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Develop detailed building envelope drawings using REVIT.

• Collaborate with architects and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate details.

• Prepare construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.

• Communicate daily with multiple project managers and prioritize project needs accordingly.

• Take field measurements and create as-built drawings.

Qualifications:

• An associate’s degree in CAD drafting with concentration on the construction industry (architecture, engineering, building materials, etc.) or 2-4 years architectural or engineering drafting experience in REVIT.

• High level competency with REVIT and AutoCAD, REVIT experience is a must.

• Experience producing construction documents.

• Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with team members.

Additionally (these qualifications are a plus but not required):

• Building envelope technical experience

• Field experience in construction
