Olympia School District Enclosure Consulting Services

NEXUS provided enclosure services to the Olympia School District on five prototypical stand alone classroom buildings that were built at the following school locations:

• Centennial Elementary School

• Hansen Elementary School

• McLane Elementary School

• Pioneer Elementary School

• Roosevelt Elementary School

For each of these 10-classroom buildings, NEXUS performed independent technical review(s) of design documents, including review of the OPR and BOD with comments and an Enclosure design review.

During construction, NEXUS performed site observation visits verifying installation of various critical enclosure elements related to the thermal/vapor/air barrier of the building and performed final air barrier testing/witnessing on the completed building. All observations and testing, including infrared thermography during air leakage testing, was photo-documented in written reports submitted to the client and discussed with the staff on-site prior to departure to ensure deficiencies are understood and corrected. Running logs of deficiencies and corrections accompany each report.
